Aerospace Technician II – Weekend Shift (R36714)

Responsibilities:

  • Apply coatings to parts (including touch-up)
  • Maintain the coating booth operations – ensures desired coating levels, performs product changeovers, and does routine maintenance
  • Operate an automated grit blaster.
  • Operates, cleans, and maintains all equipment, including sprayers, robotic spray guns and pumps, etc.
  • Fabricate flight parts and make adjustments to machine to achieve blueprint requirements
  • Performs assembly of precision parts per defined work instructions
  • Performs and/or schedules maintenance/repair of the spray booth to ensure proper operation when required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Provide manufacturing feedback to design engineers
  • Provide process improvement feedback to process engineers
  • Safely work within an industrial environment
  • Continuous improvement mentality

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of prior work experience in related field
  • Ability to use basic precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication to include, spelling, reading and math skills
  • Self-Motivated with the ability to work within a team environment or independently as required
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Aerospace or related fields.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with paint or coatings
  • Crane operator/ lift coordinator experience
