Responsibilities:
- Apply coatings to parts (including touch-up)
- Maintain the coating booth operations – ensures desired coating levels, performs product changeovers, and does routine maintenance
- Operate an automated grit blaster.
- Operates, cleans, and maintains all equipment, including sprayers, robotic spray guns and pumps, etc.
- Fabricate flight parts and make adjustments to machine to achieve blueprint requirements
- Performs assembly of precision parts per defined work instructions
- Performs and/or schedules maintenance/repair of the spray booth to ensure proper operation when required
- Excellent communication skills
- Provide manufacturing feedback to design engineers
- Provide process improvement feedback to process engineers
- Safely work within an industrial environment
- Continuous improvement mentality
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of prior work experience in related field
- Ability to use basic precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication to include, spelling, reading and math skills
- Self-Motivated with the ability to work within a team environment or independently as required
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Aerospace or related fields.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with paint or coatings
- Crane operator/ lift coordinator experience
